This blog is about digital photography tips :)
-----------
You're not the only one trying to learn Digital Photography, my friend. I
don't know about you, but I can still tell you that there are sure fire ways to
learn and even become a pro in Digital Photography.
Your first question, I assume, is "HOW?".
Well, here are some easy tips you can use to start taking better pictures with your digital camera:
It does not matter if you're 'on the right track' or not, if you just sit on your bum on the track, instead of running to become a world champion.
You know what I'm saying here? Good equipment and practicing with that equipment will go a long way for you, so the moral of the story is really to take action and do SOMETHING!
Speaking of cameras, you can find out how everyday ordinary people make six figure incomes, "working" from home with their digital camera. If you want to know how to turn your camera into a digital cash cow, just click here to find out more.
On that site, I cover exactly how you can take an already proven system that makes people $200+ a DAY and then how you can multiply that income many times over with some special techniques. Here's the link again.
Trust me on this. You got to look after your digital camera. No matter what type of camera it is! In my case, it's a digital thing that's as heavy as a small log, and keeps making pictures when I press the button. Do I know how to use it? Not really. I just know how to make it take photos. The rest of the details are in the manual for the technical experts to read. Me, I got work to do. Anyway, as this article is about photography tips I thought you'd like to know how to raise and train your camera.
The first thing, like all new cameras, is that you've got to feed it regularly. Now don't skip this step! It's important. You'll know when it needs to be fed. It'll calmly blink at you and eventually shut down. That means you won't be able to take any more photos. But don't worry when this happens. It's just telling you it's hungry. So, make sure you plug her in and give her a good feed. Preferably overnight.
Here's another 'training your camera' photography tip. Most new cameras will know what to do straight out of the bag, but you'll have to show them a few extra tricks as you go. Stuff like how to hang on the end of a tripod, or stay steady in an unsteady person's hands. Or how to get the red eye thing down, or stay waterproof. You get the idea, right?
Like I almost said, digital cameras usually know all this intuitively anyway. And if they don't, it's possible they're playing silly, so do be careful. Usually though they just want you to be gentle with them. A few calm words of wisdom whispered in their ear does wonders by the way. A digital camera will always listen to you...
And, oh yeah. Sometimes these digital cameras come with little guide books (also called camera manuals) about how you can teach them new digital tricks and so forth. You'd do well to read that. That'll give you more 'training your camera' photography tips than you can shake a stick at. In the meanwhile, keep training!

Personally, digital photography is here to stay and it is pretty much how photography is going to be from now on. Manufacturers are going to refine their skills and pack more juice into the digital cameras. Nowadays, you can add special effects to your picture immediately on some of the compact digital cameras.
With all these technology backing you up, you are now more likely to be able to take great photos. So, the first thing you need to do now is to choose the right camera. Always look at what you need. When you have problem choosing the camera, get the retailers or professionals to help you. They will are experience enough to fit the best camera to your needs.
Then you need to practice digital photography with your camera. Always keep your camera close to you. You never know when the best subject will comes out. When you are taking your pictures, remember to take more shots and different angle of your subject. With digital photography, all your pictures will be converted to digital storage and you need not to worry about spending money for films.
The third tip to taking great photos is to compare the photos you have taken. This is the trial and error stage where you find out the best way to photograph your subject. Which of them looks better? Ask yourself why this picture is better than the other? Think about what will happen when you change the white balance to photograph the same subject. Sometimes, challenging yourself is how you improve your digital photography skills.
During the comparison of your photos, you also need to recall what you did to the photos. This is because when you move forward with digital photography, you are supposed to consistently pump out great photos. You are supposed to know how to position yourself to take great photos of your subject. You are supposed to know how to use your flash under different circumstances instead of trial and error with your pictures.
The last tip to taking great pictures is that you must constantly update yourself. Go online, read magazines and visit exhibitions to find out how other photographers are taking their photos. It is even better that you can talk to other photographers and have them comment on your work.

Last Christmas, the most popular gift item was the digital camera. Now millions of people are switching from film and processing into the mysterious world of digital photography and are wondering... "Now What Do I Do?"
I attended a MAC Computer conference not long ago where I presented a number of digital photography eBooks that I publish. A mature woman in the audience asked: "I switched to digital thinking I would save a ton of money on film and processing but in the past year I have spent a small fortune on 20 flashcards."
It was difficult to keep my composure but the audience laughed at her expense. I explained to her that she was suppose to download her images from the flashcard to her computer, then erase the card so that she could take more pictures. I suggested that having one or two extra flashcards was certainly a good idea, especially if she was going on a trip and intended to take a lot of pictures.
The digital world has changed how we store and listen to music; how we design and print books; and how we now take pictures and turn them into works of art. Adapting to these new technologies can sometimes be overwhelming.
Jerry Rabow to the rescue. Jerry is a retired attorney with a passion for photography. I convinced Jerry that he needed to pass his great knowledge on to others, especially those just getting into digital photography. I convinced Jerry to write an eBook, and he took my advice and published Digital Photography Tutor which delivers just what the name promises: hands-on, interactive learning that is like having your personal Tutor at your side to explain how things work and show you how it is done. This uniquely enjoyable and effective learning experience will soon have you turning out fine digital photographs you thought only the pros could produce.
Jerry's Step-By-Step tutorials not only guide you through typical procedures, but his eBook also includes 60 narrated VIDEOS to show you the actual mouse moves. Have you ever wondered what it was that made photos look so nice and other photos look so bad? Well…when it comes to making a photo look visually delicious a lot of it has to do with how you compose the image.
When it comes to taking great digital photos there are quite some things that come into play for this. However, let us narrow them down into three distinct sections.
Proper Lighting The lighting is very important for photography. The way you light the photo is how the photo will end up looking. Lighting can make a setting, object, or person look scary, happy, sad, or other things as well. It can add power or take it away just as easily.
Technical Savvy Knowing how to properly use your photo will make your photos much better. It'll also give you much more freedom to experiment.
Photographic Composition Composing great digital shots can be difficult at first but with some practice and experimenting you can get really good. Here are some tips for getting better:
-Get closer to the subject. Getting closer can make your photo much simpler. Cluttered photos are usually not pleasing to look at and a common mistake most beginners make. -Avoid the Center. Placing your subject off center can make your photo much more interesting -Use lines. Using the lines in your photo to lead to important things can make your photo much better looking and more powerful.
There are many different methods from which you can work on to get better at photographing. But of all of them, the best thing to do is get out there and practice the things you learn and experiment.

The simplified version of how the camera works is that it uses lens to focus light on photosensor. Most compact digital camera use charge-coupled device (CCD) as photosensor. When light strikes the sensor, it will record the image electronically and transfer it for organization. After that, it will convert the image into binary digital data and stored in memory.
In order to get an ideal photograph, the amount of light reaching the photosensor must be controlled carefully. To achieve that, you need to control the shutter speed and the aperture size. And to make things easier for you, the compact digital camera manufacturers have set the shutter speed electronically and set the aperture size on automation.
Megapixel plays an important role on the quality of your picture. It is related to the amount of details in your picture. So, the more megapixels you have the more detail you will have on your image.
You can see that cameras nowadays come with optical zoom and digital zoom. Optical zoom is more important because it actually zooms into your subject while digital zoom only enlarges your picture. That is why sometimes you will get fuzzy picture with digital zoom.
Cameras today also come with LCD screen for you to preview the picture you took. Don't misunderstand that the digital camera is compact and the LCD screen will be small. It depends on how the manufacturer fir the screen to the camera.
If you have a digital camera back in the early days, you should remember that the storage device was built into the camera. That gave some frustration to some photographer because you need to clear the pictures when the memory is full. Luckily, as the technology evolves, you can now enjoy portable memory storage.
You can now store your pictures into memory devices like SD cards or smart media cards. When the memory is full, you can just label the memory device and keep it as your album. Furthermore, memory device nowadays come in different sizes. The storage amount of the memory device depends on the quality of your picture and how frequent you take photograph.
